Music in the Mountains’ “Home for the Holidays” on December 7-8 and 20

Music in the Mountains has created many happy memories for its patrons over the years, and this year’s “Home for the Holidays” presentation is sure to be among them.

On December 7-8 and 20, Music in the Mountains presents three days of music with a talented chorus, orchestra and a “choir of angels.”

Nothing is more enchanting than the sound of a chorus and orchestra joined together to present holiday music.

On December 7-8, the MIM Chorale and Orchestra will perform at the Amaral Center at the Nevada County Fairgrounds in Grass Valley (7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday). As a special treat, they’ll be joined by the Lyman Gilmore Middle School Choir (a “choir of angels”).

MIM also plans a holiday children’s concert at the Amaral Center at the fairgounds December 7 at 11 a.m. Like the popular Family Music Faire during MIM’s SummerFest, this is a shorter program for children.

On Friday, December 20, MIM presents the Messiah Singalong at the Peach Lutheran Church in Grass Valley at 2 p.m. Join your family, friends and neighbors to sing one of the greatest choral pieces ever. It is a magical experience.
