Music in the Mountains presents “Let Freedom Ring” on November 11

Music in the Mountains is honored to present a special concert in collaboration with Camerata California and VITA Academy Artistic Director, (and newly appointed MIM Artistic Advisor) Pete Nowlen.

Let Freedom Ring, featuring music and poetry about America’s 16th President, will be performed on November 11 in the Veteran’s Hall in Grass Valley.

Pete programmed the multi-faceted concert with the idea of reviving an American masterpiece (George Frederick McKay’s Lincoln Lyrics) and presenting it alongside other inspiring works. “This concert celebrates one of our greatest Americans, AND all who have sacrificed in the cause of freedom – and celebrates a historic occasion – the 150th anniversary of the Gettysburg Address.”

Read more about the concert on the MIM website and mark your calendars for this historic celebration of a true American icon.
