PlacerArts and North Tahoe Arts: Art in all degrees

PLACERARTS AND PLACER ARTS 360 PRESENT quality visual arts exhibits, tours, events, and professional performing arts and community theatrical performances year-round.

The Autumn Art Studios Tour is an annual highlight. It takes place each fall and features artists from throughout western Placer County.

This year the 19th Annual Tour is November 9-11. Artists show and demonstrate their work in more than 40 studio locations, from Roseville to Auburn to Colfax.

An opening reception for the Art Studios Tour is October 11 at The Arts Building Gallery, at 808 Lincoln Way in downtown Auburn. It is the best time to start planning your self-guided tour, get your tickets and meet some of the artists.

PlacerArts also partners with businesses in Old Town and Downtown to present the popular Auburn Art Walk four times a year. The Auburn Art Walk showcases art in dozens of locations. Maps are available at the Arts Building.

The Arts Building in downtown Auburn is home to PlacerArts, seven artists-in-residence and a number of public programs. The Arts Building offers exhibits throughout the year.

PlacerArts also plays a vital “backstage” role, connecting with schools, teachers and county education officials to keep arts in the schools.

PlacerArts was instrumental in convincing the City of Auburn to pass a public art ordinance and in establishing the Auburn Arts Commission to manage future public art projects.

New public installations have been dedicated in Granite Bay, Roseville, Newcastle and Lincoln with PlacerArts’ assistance. For more information, visit PlacerArts.org.
