Little Fish Co. expands its growing business

10423950_820803047962483_6391280129717784487_nEditor’s note: Finding fresh fish from “The Coast” can be a challenge, such as Dungeness crab, but we’ve enjoyed “The Little Fish Co.” at the Farmers Markets in Nevada City, AuburnĀ and Tahoe City, along with places such as Ikeda’s in Auburn and Morgan’s Fish Market in Truckee. We are regulars. Now the “The Little Fish Co.” has added a Grass Valley location (its home) and home delivery. Details are here:

“Hey Folks,

“We hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving and we are sure you have had your fill of turkey by now. We just wanted to let you know that we are resuming our normal schedule this week, and including a Grass Valley pick up option as well as Home Delivery to addresses between Sacramento and Auburn on Saturdays.

“The single most popular item this time of year is the fresh Bodega Bay Crab delivered to you just hours off of the sea floor. Our crab are hand selected for size and density and we promise that you will not find a better crab anywhere. Nothing is better for these dreary rainy days.

“One of the most frequently asked questions is, “Will you clean them for us”? The answer is yes, you can order them cracked and cleaned, but I will tell you, the best crab is the one you crack and clean just before eating. When we crack and clean them on Thursday night when they come out of the cooker, it allows time for the meat to dry out. When you take them whole and crack and clean them yourself right before enjoying them, it makes them much better.

“So how do you do it? It’s really pretty simple and you can watch a “how to” video on our site by clicking here.

“I hope everyone enjoys the new site as much as the seafood. Go to www.wildlittlefish.com to start shopping!

“Don’t forget to order by Thursday at midnight!

“Pick up days and times are as follows:

“Auburn Farmers Market
Saturday from 8:00 AM until Noon

“Dedrick’s Cheese in Placerville
Saturday from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM

“Our House in Grass Valley
Saturday from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM

“Sacramento Farmer’s Market on Sunday
8:00 AM until 11:30 AM

“Home Delivery ($10)
Saturday from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM
Between Sacramento and Auburn Only”
