A “dip” in Lake Tahoe to kick off Ironman competition this morning

A “dip” in Lake Tahoe this morning to kick off IRONMAN Lake Tahoe! Bells are ringing, and the people on the shores are wearing down vests. (It was a freezing rain last night). It’s a good turnout; some traffic and temporary road closures, but it’s good to see this event doing well. The snowfall that canceled the AMGEN bike race here in 2011 is still a painful memory.
