In-N-Out Burger coming to Lincoln

The Lincoln Planning Commission this week approved a permit that will clear the way for an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in the Lincoln Crossing Marketplace at the corner of Groveland Lane and Ferrari Ranch Road. In-N-Out is building a new location at a site at 850 Groveland Lane that was a Mimi’s Cafe until it closed in 2014.

The 3,867-square-foot restaurant will have indoor seating for 77 and outdoor seating for 52. In-N-Out has restaurants in Auburn, Roseville and Rocklin.

“In 1948, the first In-N-Out Burger was founded by Harry and Esther Snyder in Baldwin Park,” according to its Facebook page. “In that era, it was common to see carhops serving customers in their cars. Harry had the unique idea of a drive-thru hamburger stand where customers could order through a two-way speaker box. His idea caught on and California’s first drive-thru hamburger stand was born. In-N-Out Burger has been serving the highest quality burgers, fries and shakes ever since.”
