InConcert Sierra will present two $500 scholarships to aspiring instrumentalists currently in grades 4-8.

The young musicians need to have been studying their instrument for at least three years with private or school instruction in Nevada County or with a Nevada County teacher. There is an online application which can be found on the InConcert Sierra website under Education on the home page navigation bar.

If the student would prefer to handwrite an application and send via the postal service, please contact a local instrumental teacher or the InConcert Sierra office at 530-273-3990. Former Nevada County resident Ardis Mengers founded The Autumn Youth Scholarship fund in memory of her husband Paul Mengers. As a tribute and in memory of Ardis, the fund has been renamed the Mengers Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Scholarships will be awarded at the November 18 Third-Sunday Season concert. Please contact InConcert Sierra for more information.
