SYRCL’s wine and beer tasting fundraiser on April 20: “Wild for the Yuba”

The South Yuba River Citizens League, the local nonprofit dedicated to uniting the community to protect and restore the Yuba River, invites you to get “Wild for the Yuba” at their 3rd annual wine and beer tasting fundraiser happening Saturday, April 20, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Grass Valley Veterans Hall.

This event not only supports SYRCL’s work, but celebrates their 30th anniversary. Attendees will enjoy a lively evening featuring tastings from 13 wineries and 12 breweries showcasing their finest libations, coupled with delicious food from Emily’s Catering and Cakes. This event also features live acoustic roots music by Saul Rayo, Elena Powell and Jay Ladner—an evening you won’t want to miss.

“What makes this event special is that representatives from the 25 participating wineries and breweries attend the event in order to chat with attendees so they can learn more about beer and wine. They will also serve some specialty selections not available to the general public,” said Melinda Booth, SYRCL’s Director of Development and Wild & Scenic Events.

Tickets are available in advance at the SYRCL office, online at www.YubaRiver.org, or by calling (530) 265-5961. Tickets may also be purchased at the door on the night of the event. Advance purchase prices are $35 per person for SYRCL members and $40 for the general public. At-the-door pricing is $40 per person for SYRCL members and $45 for the general public. There is plenty of fun to be had if you don’t care to sample the beer and wine, too; purchase a Designated Driver ticket for $20. Guests must be 21 or over.

Mark your calendars for Saturday April 20 and support the organization that protects the jewel of our community, the Yuba River, by attending this wine and beer tasting experience at the Grass Valley Veterans Hall, 255 S Auburn Street.
