Winter 2016: D.C. panda makes snow angels while Tahoe skiers rejoice

Out West we are enjoying the return of big snowfalls, which is heartwarming to the merchants, ski resorts and locals who have endured a prolonged drought. This month Truckee has won a “ski town of the year” honor.

Back East, meanwhile, the Eastern Seaboard is experience one of the worst blizzards in years. Double-digit snowfalls have hit the Washington D.C. area and residents have hunkered down.

Here is one area resident who is enjoying the blizzard, however. Panda dad Tian Tian was unabashed in his excitement for the fluffy white stuff, according to the National Zoo, making panda “snow angels”:
