Artist David Parker featured at The Center for the Arts on June 3-30

The new work of Nevada City artist David Parker will be featured at The Center for the Arts in a one-man gallery exhibition that runs through the month of June.

The show, titled “Don’t Forget… You Might Just End Up in My Painting,’” runs from June 3-30 at the Center for the Arts, 314 West Main Street, in Grass Valley. An artist reception is scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, from 5-9 p.m. in the center’s Granucci Room.

“I’ve been painting a lot and pushing my work to higher levels,” said Parker. “I’m very honored to be featured at The Center for the Arts. It has become the hub of outstanding local art,” he said. “Executive Director Julie Baker and Gallery Director Marni Marshal deserve a lot of credit.”

Parker says his new exhibition will be similar in some ways to his last show at the Center (“Sparkyville” in 2012) but that guests are in for new treats. “I’ve expanded my effort to continue to surprise the viewer,” he said.
