Emily’s 10th anniversary pop-up bakery on Good Day Sacramento

We have been fans of Emily’s Catering & Cakes since it was founded 10 years ago, writing about it regularly in our magazine. Chef Emily Scott and her husband, James Arbaugh, are a shining example of youthful, homegrown talent, who gained experience in big cities, including coastal California and Europe, and returned to the foothills to start a business. You can read more about them HERE.

Emily’s pop-up bakeries feature a huge selection of baked goods, all from her catering kitchen: cupcakes (dozens of kinds), cakes, pies, tarts, cookies in imaginative tins, fudge, candied pecans and—one of our favorites—sets of hot cocoa mix and homemade vanilla bean marshmallow in festive mugs.

Emily and John hold pop-up events during the holidays, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, the Fourth of July, and Fall Harvest at their full-service catering kitchen at 421 Colfax Avenue. This weekend, Emily’s celebrates its 10th anniversary with a pop-up bakery. We were glad to see Good Day Sacramento visited their business. The video is here:
