Sample the Sierra at Bijou Park in South Tahoe on August 31

Sample the Sierra will celebrate its fifth anniversary on August 31 at a new location. Lake Tahoe’s only farm-to-fork celebration will move from its previous location at Ski Run Boulevard to the beautiful Bijou Community Park in South Lake Tahoe.

Framed by towering pines and a lush landscape, Bijou Community Park is a favorite recreation spot for many and also the perfect backdrop for a day of food and wine tasting with local vendors.

For the past four years, Sample the Sierra has supported regional vendors and artists by showcasing only locally grown and cultivated food paired with wine and talent in a one-day festival set in scenic Lake Tahoe.

This year’s attendees will enjoy live music, experience the thrill of the third annual Sierra chefs challenge and peruse wares sold by local artisans. Presented in partnership with El Dorado County, Tahoe South and Tahoe Chamber, Sample the Sierra strives to create lasting partnerships between farmers, wineries and restaurants while promoting geotourism within the region.
