Kane’s restaurant new patio, lounge and bar is open
The new lounge, bar and patio at Kane’s restaurant in Grass Valley is open after a much-anticipated remodeling.
The elegant new space includes a new patio and fountain, along with an expanded bar area with a 30-foot-long bar-top, seating for about 60, skylights and a fireplace. A new front door reads “Kane’s” in a handsome wood design.
Kane’s bar has 10 taps with local microbrews. The lounge will feature live music nightly.
A grand opening of the 900-square-foot expansion is planned on July 11 with a “Rat Pack” tribute band.
Kane’s has grown into a dining institution in the historic downtown, drawing locals and visitors alike.
A growing number of local restaurants are expanding in the region. Lefty’s Grill has expanded in Nevada City, for example.
Kane’s is owned by John Kane, a fourth-generation San Franciscan and renowned chef and restaurateur. The renovation lasted five months.
