Latke demo at Tess’ Kitchen Store in Grass Valley on December 8

Visit Tess’ Kitchen Store for a demonstration on Saturday, December 8, starting at 5 p.m., on how to make Latkes in their new restaurant quality kitchen.

Latkes are a popular treat during the Eight-Day Festival of Lights. The oil for cooking the latkes is symbolic of the oil from the Hanukkah story that kept the Second Temple of ancient Israel lit with a long-lasting flame that is celebrated as a miracle.

Tess’ will also celebrate the first evening of Hanukkah by lighting the Menorah.
