Naggiar named “best winery” by KCRA A-List for seventh year in a row

For the seventh year in a row, Naggiar Vineyards & Winery of Grass Valley was voted “best winery” by KCRA Sacramento A-List. It is a coup for the winery and Sierra Vintners, the growing wine region in Northern California.

People vote online to determine the best local businesses by popular vote. KCRA verified more than 135,000 votes to determine the winners of the 2016 Sacramento A-List. The 174 winners, including Naggiar in the wine category, competed with more than 8,800 nominees to be named the “best of” Sacramento A-List.

Naggiar stated: “Family owned and operated. The Tuscan inspired tasting room/event center overlooks 60 acres of vineyard. All our wines are made from estate grown grapes, produced and bottled right here. Open to the public Fri./Sat./Sun. for wine tasting 12-5 p.m. Summer hours Fridays and Saturdays 12-9 and Sundays 12-5 with live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Mon.-Thur. by appointment only. Brand new: Fully guided vineyard tours via eco shuttle.”

The other top five on the KCRA list were Renwood Winery of Plymouth; Cante Ao Vinho of Rocklin; Grace Patriot Wines of Placerville; and Wilderotter Vineyard of Plymouth. Two of the five were Amador County wineries.

In another recent honor, Wine Enthusiast recognized seven Naggiar wines with at least 90 points: 2013 La Bete Noire, 92 points; 2013 Sangiovese, 91 points; 2013 Zio Luciano, 91 points; 2012 Il Nonno, 92 points; 2013 Reserve Syrah, 91 points; 2013 Le Grand Pere, 91 points; and 2013 La Beheme, 90 points.

Naggiar has a Harvest Festival on October 2, 1-4 p.m. Here’s a video from last year’s festival:
