New Backyard Bar & BBQ opening at Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe is celebrating the grand opening of the Backyard Bar & BBQ, a new restaurant with a “blues, brews and BBQ” concept, on its backyard terrace, on Friday.

The Ritz said a celebration on Friday features Brian Scoggins, Pit Master of Pappy’s and Bogart’s Smokehouses in St. Louis, Missouri, which are top Zagat-rated BBQ restaurants. Country music icon Willie Nelson, among others, have been a guest at Pappy’s.

The Backyard Bar & BBQ offers a year-round casual dining experience with ski-in/ski-out outdoor dining in the winter and poolside convenience during the summer.

The menu features delicious BBQ favorites including St. Louis smoked ribs, brisket and pulled pork platters, house-made BBQ sauces, wood-fired oven pizzas, home-style side dishes, tempting desserts and a seasonal beverage program with saloon-inspired cocktails and local craft beer selections.

The menu is here. Items include a pulled-pork sandwich on a Brioche bun with vinegar slaw, for example.
