Tahoe Adventure Company offers star-gazing tours on snowshoes

Join Tahoe Adventure Company and Tony Berendsen for the popular Telescopic Tours of the Night Sky. It’s a perfect way to end a day of skiing and is wonderful for the entire family. It all starts with a guided sunset snowshoe trek, followed by a entertaining tour of the night sky accompanied by hot cocoa and snacks.

Our knowledgeable guides will teach you about the natural and human history of the area, while you trek through the snow, watching the alpenglow light up the Sierra Nevada. You will be guided to a viewing point, where Tony will open your mind to the unknown world above you, as you enjoy hot drinks and snacks.

For the past 15 years, award-winning astronomer Tony Berendsen has exposed the superlative Sierra skies to many lucky people throughout California and Nevada. In addition to his tours, he is President of the Northern Nevada Science Coalition and previously was the President of the Astronomical Society of Nevada. His large aperture telescopes will take you into the unfamiliar mysterious world that blankets the Sierra Nevada.

Let us guide you to Saturn and back again. Give us a call today to book space on this fantastic trip. This tour is great for children, teens, and adults — so bring the whole family. Please visit TahoeAdventureCompany.com or call 530-913-9212 to reserve.
