Sinkhole in Grass Valley now seven-stories deep

Extreme weather in January has led to flooding and several sinkholes in the Sierra Foothills. One in Grass Valley is now seven-stories deep, according to city officials. On Tuesday, the Nevada County Board of Supervisors ratified “a Proclamation of a Local Emergency in Nevada County due to Extreme Weather from an Atmospheric River Event and to request the Governor to proclaim a State of Emergency for Nevada County.”
