Naggiar Vineyards celebrates annual Harvest Festival on Sept. 15

Naggiar Vineyards’ 2013 Winefest, a celebration of wine, food and music, is coming to a close.

On August 31, the Grass Valley winery will host a sold out live music Tribute show featuring California Dreamin and Mike Amaral’s California Beach Boys Tribute band.

But not to worry: Tickets are still available for two great events at Naggiar in the month of September.

On Sunday, September 15, the vineyard will celebrate its annual Harvest Festival from 1-4 p.m. This is a free, family friendly event.

Harvest Festival events will include wine tasting, barrel tastings, grape stomping, games and raffles, chocolate tastings, a petting zoo, carriage rides, and music by Fun Company.

Fun-filled festivals, along with fine wines, great food, music and lots of the gracious, family hospitality, have made Naggiar, KCRA channel 3’s top winery in the Sacramento area for four consecutive years.

Naggiar Bistro chef Georgia Gross has prepared a Harvest Feast for this year’s Harvest festival, which is available by pre-purchased meal ticket. A limited number of meals will be available on the day of the event for purchase, and Naggiar strongly recommends pre-purchasing your meal.

Chef Georgia, who joined Naggiar earlier this summer to take over their new Bistro endeavor, will prepare a variety of grilled sandwiches, included cheese steaks, Italian sausage, and vegetarian options to be served with a romaine salad and roasted potatoes topped off with toffee bars for dessert.

Meal tickets are $15 and are available online at www.naggiarvineyards.com or by calling the Tasting Room at 530-268-9059.

Picnics are welcome – but why miss out on a chance to sample the offerings at one of the Foothills newest dining venues?

LAST LIVE TRIBUTE SHOW

On September 28 , Naggiar offers its last live music Tribute show of 2013. Naggiar Music Director David Swart has brought two great bands together for this final show of the season. From Seattle, Kalimba Band will play the music of Earth, Wind and Fire.

This high-energy group is well known as one of the best Earth, Wind and Fire tribute bands in the United States and combines all the costuming, choreography, and horns that you’d expect from this style of music.

Local Sacramento favorite Chicago Tribute Authority will perform all the top chart topping hits of Chicago. Gates open at 4 p.m. for this event with the music starting at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets are required to attend this event and must be purchased ahead of time. The event is sure to sell out, so visit www.NaggiarVineyards.com or call their office at to get your tickets.

As with their Harvest Festival event, meals will be available for pre-purchase only, and Naggiar recommends purchasing these tickets early as well.

If you can’t attend either of these September events, stop by their Tasting Room to enjoy the Naggiar experience. They offer complimentary wine tasting from 12-5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sundays.

Additionally, they offer wine for purchase by the glass and by the bottle with free live music from 6-9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evenings.

To compliment their fine wines, the Naggiar Bistro offers fresh, farm to table cuisine all weekend with a menu that changes every few weeks to tempt the palette with new and different items.

Naggiar Vineyards is located at 18125 Rosemary Lane in the south county area of Grass Valley. You can reach the Winery and Tasting Room at 530-268-9059 or online at www.NaggiarVineyards.com.
