We’re proud to announce the launch of sierraculture.com to compliment our print magazine, Sierra FoodWineArt. We think it is the most complete regional offering to promote food, wine and art in the Sierra Foothills and Truckee/Tahoe. We aim to be a “go-to” publication to draw people to our region from Sacramento, Reno and Butte County.

We invite you to check out sierraculture.com to see why. Highlights include:

•All of our magazine content, including articles we’ve written about your business, are archived on the website, complete with hyperlinks to your business. We also have PDFs of the magazine online. This includes our maps of Grass Valley, Nevada City, Auburn and now Truckee, as well as county winery maps and “you pick” farm maps. We also have included restaurant and lodging guides for advertisers.

With the upcoming issue, we will add an “e-edition” feature that provides hyperlinks to your print ads and the ability to “flip” through the magazine online. It will work with any mobile technology, including cell phones, even Apple’s new iPad.

•We are linking to all of our advertisers on our website. If you “Google” your business, you are likely to find our article about you high on the list. We have tried to maximize “search engine optimization” to promote your business.

•An interactive calendar listing called “Zoomaru,” which includes listings from Nevada County Arts Collaborative, PlacerArts, the Arts Council of Tahoe/Truckee, Sierra Nevada Arts Alliance, Placer Grown, Colfax, Roseville and countless others in the region. You can enter your own events by clicking on the “calendar” icon. It’s simple to use. A regional artists’ registry is coming next.

•A FoodWineArt blog that is updated regularly and a corresponding page on Facebook http://tinyurl.com/ylbjo7x Please click on this page and become a “Facebook friend” of ours for regular updates. We will publish the press releases of advertisers here, as well as other happenings.

•Banner ads on our website, with links to your business. We also invite you to link to sierraculture.com on your website. Our current advertisers are Music in the Mountains and Judi’s in Nevada City.

•A video that you can sponsor. This could be a video about your business. Our current video promotes the “Real Placer” cookbook by Joanne Neft, founder of the Foothill Farmers Market.

•A major distribution deal to promote our website on the Sacramento Bee’s website. This will bring more “eyeballs” to sierraculture.com from readers in the Sacramento Valley, helping to draw visitors to your businesses here in the Foothills and Truckee/Tahoe. The Bee’s editors are big fans of our website.

We are proud to offer sierraculture.com to further promote your business, and we hope you like it too. You also can reach our website by typing sierrafoodwineart.com. Just to let you know, this new venture will not lead to any increase in ad rates. We consider it a “value added.”

Thanks for your continued business. We enjoy working with you, and you can reach us at info@sierrafoodwineart.com or 263-1843.

-Jeff and Shannon Pelline
