Jet Blue to offer Double Rainbow and other artisanal ice creams on premium flights

JetBlue has announced its newest addition to its Mint experience with a locally curated ice cream program that features favorite flavors from artisanal ice makers based in Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and San Francisco, the airline said.

Local purveyors will offer a rotating selection of ice cream flavors giving Mint customers a taste of the region from where their flight departs.

Brooklyn-based Blue Marble organic ice creams will be served on all Mint flights departing from JFK.

Mint flights departing from Los Angeles will feature ice creams from Los Angeles-based Coolhaus.

San Francisco-based Double Rainbow ice creams will be served on all Mint flights departing from San Francisco.

Mint flights departing from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood will serve ice creams from South Florida-based ice cream factory The Frieze.

Hand-made gourmet products from Boston-based Toscanini´s will be served on all Mint flights departing from Boston.

Mint is JetBlue´s premium travel experience. It is currently offered on select flights to Aruba, Barbados, Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Grenada, Los Angeles, New York, Saint Lucia, Saint Maarten and San Francisco. New service to Las Vegas and San Diego begins in 2017.

JetBlue carries more than 38 million customers a year to 101 cities in the US, Caribbean, and Latin America with an average of 1000 daily flights.
