“Free if it snows” and “Spring bling tour” to Europe at Stucki Jewelers
Stucki Jewelers of Grass Valley, the region’s oldest continuously operating jewelry store, is 5,400 miles from Antwerp, Belgium, the world’s diamond capitol.
But typically twice a year, owners James and Nicole Arbaugh travel to Antwerp to hand-select precious gems for their customers, accepting preorders. James is a graduate gemologist, and the trip exemplifies the store’s focus on high-quality jewelry and customer service.
If that’s not innovative enough, Stucki offers an annual “Free if it Snows” promotion for holiday shoppers. Here’s the basics of this year’s program: buy Jewelry on Friday, November 28 and Saturday, November 29, and if at least one inch of snows falls at the Nevada County Airport on Christmas Day, your purchases are free. Two years ago, James refunded $53,000 to his customers after it snowed. Now Stucki is offering another imaginative program. For the first time, the jewelry store is offering the trip of a lifetime—called a Spring Bling Tour—with the winner taking a guided, expense-paid trip to Antwerp.
The event is a fundraiser for The Center for the Arts in Grass Valley. “We understand the value our nonprofits bring to Nevada County, including art, music and culture,” says James. To qualify to win the trip, there will be a raffle drawing.
Tickets are $50 each and will enter you in a chance to win a round-trip journey from Northern California to Belgium, complete with a visit to the Antwerp to select your own gem. Only 500 tickets are being sold in the giveaway.
In April 2015, the winners will join the Arbaughs on a trip to Antwerp for six nights. The trip includes hotel, touring and a visit to the renowned Diamond District to select a diamond of up to $2,500 value.
For the “Spring Bling” promotion, tickets will be sold at Stucki Jewelers and The Center for the Arts. The drawing is Dec. 31. Call 530-272-1266 for more information for visit here.
