InConcert Sierra: An imaginative new season

Spencer Myer

INCONCERT SIERRA PRESENTS another stellar lineup for its 2017-18 season, featuring world-class musicians and vocalists who have performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, London’s Royal Albert Hall and Beijing’s National Centre for the Performing Arts, among other venues.

The performers include British vocal ensemble VOCES8, pianist Spencer Myer, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, harpist Bridget Kibbey, pianist Drew Peterson, the WindSync ensemble, and the in-house Sierra Master Chorale and Orchestra.

On December 16 and 17, the chorale and orchestra will brighten spirits with its traditional holiday program. “This is always one of those concerts where you leave filled with joy,” says InConcert Sierra’s Artistic Director Ken Hardin. As regulars, we couldn’t agree more.

Conducted by Hardin, the chorale is an auditioned high-level community choir with 80 singers. It performs with the InConcert Sierra Orchestra, comprised of regional musicians, including concertmaster Richard Altenbach.
