TRUCKEE OPEN ART STUDIOS TOUR

Nevada County Arts presents the first annual Truckee Open Art Studios Tour July 17-19 and 24-26. 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. The tour allows visitors to experience art from its creative spark to finished product with about 30 Truckee-area artists, including nationally known painters, sculptors, multi-media artists and woodworkers.

Many studios are in close proximity to each other and all are within a 10-minute drive from downtown Truckee, giving visitors the freedom to set their own course. Brightly colored signs are posted along the routes to guide visitors to each studio.

TRAILS & VISTAS

One of the most unique art experiences in the North Lake Tahoe-Truckee region with music, dance, poetry and installation art set along beautiful trails.

The autumn art hikes are September 12 at Spooner Lake, Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park, and September 19 at Donner Summit. Trails & Vistas also hosts a concert on September 12 on the Shakespeare stage at Sand Harbor State Park.

FALL COLORS OPEN STUDIOS TOUR

The Open Studios Tour in western Nevada County on October 10-11 and 17-18 is a chance to connect with artists and experience their work first-hand.

The Open Studios Tour features about 60 artists and 30 studios on a self-guided tour throughout Nevada County. Visitors have the opportunity to meet local, professional artists, see their latest work, and buy original art in a wide range of media and styles.
