Downtown Grass Valley, featuring local farms. Restaurants offer outdoor seating and fresh, local food. Wine tasting rooms will be open.

Visitors can listen to live music and dance. A new children’s “farm town” features arts and crafts, face painting and samples of local fruits and veggies.

FARM TOURS, FAIRS & FESTIVALS

Nevada County Fair, August 7-11 at the Nevada County Fiargrounds. Along with carnival rides, animals and exhibits, the fair is famous for its delicious food on Treat Street. NevadaCountyFair.com.

Draft Horse Classic, Sept 19-22 at the Nevada County Fairgrounds. A “Bounty of the County” event on Sept. 21 pairs local chefs and farms. A BBQ Cook-off on Sept. 22 features ribs and chicken.
