BriarPatch Co-op leases In The Kitchen cooking school in Nevada City

Briar Patch Co-op Community Market and In the Kitchen are happy to announce the evolution of a wonderful partnership. As of this week, BriarPatch has leased 648 Zion Street that was formerly In the Kitchen Cooking School.

For the past two years, Briar Patch has hosted a weekly cooking class at In the Kitchen and now will continue to build on the work that In the Kitchen has created. Briar Patch will be continuing to offer classes as well as expanding the community kitchen.

After five years of building and growing In the Kitchen, Wendy is moving on to other projects. She is currently teaching cooking and nutrition classes throughout the county through the Nevada County Department of Public Health and at Grass Valley Charter School. Wendy will continue to offer private cooking classes as well as classes through Briar Patch.

“In the Kitchen has been an extremely gratifying part of my life and it has given me so much joy to watch my business grow over the years. I have been so lucky to have as much community support around In the Kitchen. After a lot of soul searching, I have decided that it is time for me to give more to my family and personal life. Thank you for all the great classes Nevada County! Keep cooking!”

Her website and blog www.inthekitchennc.com is still active and will continue to have information and blog posts about food related topics.

BriarPatch will continue to operate its own “Co-op Cooking Class” series out of the location.
