Grass Valley receives gifts of new flags

Thanks to the generosity of the American Legion Post 130, the Grass Valley Downtown Association is receiving a gift of new flags for the corner of S. Auburn and Neal Street. The flags fly high above the Welcome to Grass Valley sign at the corner.

“The American Legion, local Boy Scouts and the GVDA will be having a flag retiring ceremony to properly dispose of the worn and tattered flags and a raising of the new flags on the corner of S. Auburn and Neal St on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 11:30 a.m.” said Julia Jordan.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, merchants and staff we would like to thank the American Legion for this awesome gift to our downtown.
