• Enjoy the 28th Annual Sierra Festival of the Arts this Sunday in Grass Valley. Sierra FoodWineArt is a major sponsor. With more than 50 fine art and fine craft exhibitors, you’ll find that perfect something for you or your home. Sierra FoodWineArt also is a sponsor of the Tahoe Concourse d’Elegance boat show and Music in the Mountains Summer Fest. We are big proponents of “giving back.”

• Our relationship with our advertisers is all-encompassing. Here’s one example: Incorrect Google mapping was irking some Colfax merchants, redirecting business off Main Street. We came to the rescue and lobbied Google for a change. “Hi Jeff, Your Google Maps problem report has been reviewed, and you were right! We’ll update the map soon and email you when you can see the change.” Voila!

• We are hard at work on the summer issue of FoodWineArt, with plans to highlight outdoor dining, the bountiful farmers markets, new wine tasting rooms, picnics, summer at Tahoe, outdoor festivals, local artists, as well as arts and cooking programs for youth. • Our multi-year deal to publish the Placer County Visitor Guide — the county’s biggest tourism guide — means increased distribution for Sierra FoodWineArt, including at the state fair, Sacramento Airport and the San Francisco Bay Area. We continue to grow and expand despite the recession.
