Truckee Wine Walk & Shop is set for October 4 to benefit Tahoe Food Hub

Mark your calendars for the 11th annual Downtown Truckee Wine, Walk & Shop set for Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014 from noon to 4 p.m. Wine lovers, food connoisseurs and dedicated shoppers will once again indulge themselves with some of the finest vintages matched with delicious food samples as they shop and stroll in the historic western ski town of Truckee, Calif.

For only $40 ($35 in advance), attendees will receive a commemorative wine glass, a program and map to participating venues and five tickets for food tastings at any of the participating locations in the heart of downtown Truckee (additional food tickets may be purchased for $2 per ticket).

A portion of the revenue will go directly back into the Truckee community through the Tahoe Food Hub, this year’s designated non-profit beneficiary. Tahoe Food Hub is a non-profit organization that is building a regional food system which will increase the availability of nutritious, ecologically grown food by connecting small-scale, regional, food producers with new markets such as restaurants, small grocers, schools and hospitals.
