Amador’s Barbera Festival on Sept. 14 and Big Crush on Oct. 5-6

BARBERA FESTIVAL
Amador Vintners hosts the 9th annual Barbera Festival on September 14 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the historic Terra d’Oro Winery in Amador wine country.

The outdoor wine and food festival allows guests to sample barbera wines from more than 60 wineries from across California, enjoy local craft beer, gourmet food from top restaurants and chefs, and peruse offerings from over 30 artisan vendors.

The festival is bringing barbera to the spotlight to showcase a varietal that is becoming increasingly popular in California. “It is a favorite here in Amador County, and if you have never tried it, or are a barbera enthusiast, the Barbera Festival is a great
place to be,” says Jack Gorman, executive director of the Amador Vintners Association.

The festival takes place in over 4,000-sq.-ft. of majestic oak trees and sprawling meadows at the historic Terra d’Oro Winery, home of Montevina. It boasts some of the oldest plantings of barbera in California.

From strolling down the tree-lined path to enjoying renowned artists and musicians, guests receive a relaxing experience abundant with high quality food and wine. A portion of the Barbera Festival proceeds will benefit the Amador Community Foundation. For more information and tickets, visit BarberaFestival.com.

THE BIG CRUSH

Big Crush is a perfect time to see the harvest in action. Your ticket includes scenes teeming with vineyards, trudging tractors, and bustling crush pads accompanied by Amador wine region hospitality.

Creative food and wine pairings, a variety of live music, and harvest activities are all included in the ticket price. Proceeds from the Grape Stomp and BBQ will benefit the Amador County Fair Foundation. For tickets or more information, visit AmadorWine.com.
