Naggiar Vineyards’ WineFest starts in June
CALIFORNIA’S WINERIES AND VINEYARDS are its second most popular visitor attraction after Disneyland. Spring is an ideal time for wine tasting and picnicking among the vineyards.
In the foothills, Naggiar Vineyards in Grass Valley has become a premier destination winery, thanks to its setting, award-winning wines and friendly staff.
Naggiar’s warm-weather season begins with a wine release party set for May 17. Guests will enjoy new wines—including a Rosé and Viogner—along with barrel tastings and music. “We’re gearing up for an exciting season,” says Owner Mike Naggiar.
The winery’s bistro is open Fridays and Saturdays, 12-8:30 p.m. and Sundays, 12-4:30 p.m. with Mediterranean-style dishes prepared by “in-house” Chef Georgia Gross. The bistro menu is seasonal.
Examples include an antipasto plate, Fusilli Marinara, pasta with homemade tomato sauce; and homemade cheesecake with fruit preserves.
Exciting New Season at Naggiar
Now in its fourth season, Naggiar’s WineFest starts in June. It will feature tribute bands saluting the Rolling Stones, Eagles, Motown, Beatles (whose 50th anniversary is this year) and others.
Visitors can enjoy music on a lawn in front of Naggiar’s pond, with sweeping views of the vineyard. Parking has been expanded.
The winery also offers weekly live music every Friday and Saturday. Besides its attractive tasting room, Naggiar’s wine is available at many local restaurants and wine shops. For more information, visit NaggiarVineyards.com.
