Wine vs. Beer at Lake Tahoe’s West Shore Cafe

You came, they poured. We’re nearing the end of our five-week music series, Wine vs. Beer! Every event showcased local wine/beer vendors and now we’re asking you to help us choose a winner. From 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm this Wednesday, all the brewers and vintners you’ve sampled from will join us on the lawn for the final showdown. The winner will be chosen by public vote, earning the crown and infinite bragging rights.

To further celebrate the occasion, Jesse, Jenni, and friends of the Dead Winter Carpenters will provide live musical entertainment for the afternoon.

Join us this Wednesday for the ultimate showdown! Remember, this event is free to enter and available to all ages. Join us for a five-week series of live music, wine tasting, beer tasting, and food pairings along the shores of Lake Tahoe.

Starting Wednesday, July 10 and running every Wednesday through August 7 this series will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. each week. Entry is free and open to all ages and flights of beer or wine will be available for the purchase of $20 for those ages 21+. Wine vendors and beer vendors will alternate each week until the final showdown on Wednesday, August 7.

During the showdown, the vendors will go head to head to select the best varietal (wine) or style (beer) to go along with the West Shore Café crafted small bite. *Note the last night tasting experience will include 8 samplings and the food pairing for $45. The winners will be chosen by the public along with a panel of judges, including a cicerone and sommelier. Whoever has the best pairing wins the ultimate title.
