Nevada City restaurants offer “Gratitude Bowls” to hungry people in need

The Gratitude Bowls project is starting off as a 100 bowl pilot program beginning in March 2014 in a California community.

The Gratitude Bowls project is partnering with restaurants to provide free, nourishing meals to people in need. Cooks use ingredients they have in abundance to create the gratitude bowls meals.

Depending on seating availability and individual restaurant policies, gratitude bowls may be served to-go or with restaurant seating included. The Gratitude Bowls project pays restaurants for each bowl served so their businesses prosper as well.
