Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows is open for Thanksgiving

Following last week’s early-season snowfall, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows is open for skiing, riding and activities seven days a week. The resort is operating 11 lifts from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., giving skiers and riders access to 39 trails and 16 groomed runs.

With terrain for all abilities, including the High Camp beginner area, intermediate terrain off Shirley Lake Express, Gold Coast Express and Kangaroo chair, and advanced terrain off Siberia Express and Emigrant, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows currently has one of its largest terrain offerings for the Thanksgiving holiday in years.

Additionally, the SnoVentures activity zone will offer ‘Hike and Slide’ Tubing from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. for $20 per hour and free guided snowshoe hikes will be available starting at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at High Camp. Tubing and Snowshoeing will be offered through Sunday.

With an incredible early-season terrain offering, the Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows Ski and Snowboard School is grateful to be able to share the joy of skiing and riding with guests. Kids and adults can enjoy private and group lessons through the Ski and Ride schools at both Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows.
