Cooking Classes in the Foothills

FALL IS THE SEASON TO SAVOR the late-season fruits and vegetables from farmers markets, including pumpkins, apples, pears, and persimmons. The markets are open until Thanksgiving, or year-round, allowing you to create a feast from the local bounty.

It also is an ideal time to sign up for a cooking class. The weather is cooler, and the holidays offer an incentive to hone your cooking skills. The classes are imaginative: from hoshigaki to flavors of India and holiday scones. Examples include:

The Vintner Club

Members receive two reasonably priced bottles of wine. Members may choose: two whites, two reds, or one of each, and may be picked up every other month.

The Sommelier Club
$89.99 / bi-monthly
Designed for the more adventurous, members will receive four bottles of wine. Wines will range from “enjoy now” to “save and cellar” and include wines from around the world.
